The Irish Chess Union - You'll find everything that you need to know about chess in Ireland on this slick site. I'm really impressed that they now have a Juniors' Section where children who are new to the game can learn about the basics. You can also find a local Chess Club on their interactive map.
ChessHere.com - A first class online chess club where you play against players from all over the world in real time or by correspondence. It's free to register and if you are under the age of 13 the chat and message features will be disabled. As with all websites please check with your parents or guardians before registering.
ChessKids.com - younger players section. A great starting place if you are thinking about learning how to play chess or want to improve your skills, particularly for the younger player. Interactive lessons and all the moves explained. There's even a section for grown ups. |
